We went for a very enriching Parent Seminar held by Hong Wen School last weekend.
We learnt that different people enjoys different kind of love.
There are 5 of them:
1. Physical Touch - enjoys hugs, kisses and touch from loved ones
2. Quality Time - enjoys spending quality time together
3. Words of Affirmation - enjoys people to praise and encourage them
4. Receiving Gifts - enjoys receiving gifts and rewards
5. Acts of Service - enjoys little gesture people do for you
more detailed explanation here:
http://www.fivelovelanguages.com/learn.htmlAt 27 months, Breia is at the age of showering lots of love.
Sometimes, she will suddenly say 'I love you, Mummy!' ' I love you, Daddy', 'Mummy loves me'.
She also wants us to shower her with love too, by saying 'Mummy and Daddy kiss me'.
So I conclude her love language is Physical touch and Quality time.
I felt abit refreshing with Breia's attitude cos Adelle don't behave this way when she is younger.
At her age now, she even feels very shy to use the word "love". She is rather stingy with using this word (like me :p), she rather says 'like'.
Adelle likes us to praise her for her deeds, so her love language is Words of Affirmation and Act of Service.
The language of love will change as the kids grow.
Do check out what's yours and even your partner's!
Have fun!
